That. the service I got on this place, the amount of free food, smile and laugh was the best I ever experienced in the te world. deliciously cooked fish fillet and meat, and amazing vegetarian food too.

On a quiet corner near the harbour sits this little jewel of an ortes. a colonial house with rustic brick walls and matching decor invites you inside with tango, milonga or jazz, which play in the background suave. I was just the second table of the night, so no one stressed, and attention was good, even from half open kitchen, where one of the young was cooking in his recommendations. the brot was the Italian top cooking style and went a tasty bite with the cream cheese or olive oil. ordered a bottle gimenez mendez sauvignon blanc on the owners recommended to go with my little cadjau (abadejo) with grilled vegetables, all fresh and perfectly boiled and seasoned. also very friendly. the bill did not bring the answer with me, as I only paid back 1,690 uruguay pesos (usd 38) when I went back to my hotel. it would be a mistake not to go, even if they only have a few days in the city.

Oh young, one of the best restaurants in montevideo. while in the city they do a fallen and go dinner in it mercat. amazing!

Delicious food. we asked the waitress to recommend us a fish dish, and we were not disappointed. the fish was the most delicious we ever had and the portions were huge. a whole fish splits for two people with garden salad. the atmosphere is very hip and relaxing. it was our best meal in montevideo!
