La Puntada - Monterrey

If you visit Monterrey's main square, you must stop at this restaurant. Legacy family-owned restaurant with a fresh upgrade inside that looks almost like a chain restaurant. Food is excellent from hamburgers, traditional Mexican cuisine, salads. Great for brunch or a decent meal.

My mom used to take us here when little so we went back in our trip to Monterrey in June 2015 and we were surprised they have kept the great flavor in their foods, the prices are extremely affordable for anyone and the place seems...to be packed at all times. The place seemed to be renewed somehow but still feels like at home. They have plates of the day or a la carte if you like. They do not have parking so you will have to find a parking space close by (which they have plenty being the downtown of the city) and then walk to the place. Highly recommendable.

The food is good and the dishes are quite large, I ordered a tortilla soup that was good as the main course I ordered a dish with many different types of meat that was good but on average. La Puntada is a very good place to go with the family and pay less, but the quality is proportional to the price you pay for a dish. Good. Place for average traditional foods
