Tides Waterfront Kitchen - Monterey

The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is great for families with children, although the overall atmosphere could be a bit unwelcoming at times. The sunset view is absolutely stunning. My spouse and kids had a wonderful experience, and we look forward to returning soon.

The restaurant had a unique layout reminiscent of "Windows on the World," with each row of tables elevated above the one in front, allowing all diners to enjoy the beautiful view of the bay. The staff was outstanding. I had a particularly challenging morning with my 10-year-old son, who was worn out from our travels. He insisted on having chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes for breakfast. Unfortunately, the children's menu only featured a pancake shaped like a character, with no chocolate chips. He was upset and declared he didn’t want anything. I decided to order the pancake anyway, along with some eggs cooked to my liking, and bacon, plus a side of sauce. I also ordered milk for my son. To our surprise, when the order arrived, the waiter had convinced the chef to make five of the most delicious chocolate chip silver dollar pancakes! That turned out to be the best breakfast of our trip, and quite possibly the best meal we've had!

Stunning views of the Monterey coastline! I recommend heading to their lounge by 6:30 PM to enjoy a fantastic vantage point of the bay as you watch the sunset dip below the horizon. The scenery is truly magnificent!

Beautiful location, great staff and delicious food! Recommend this point safely! You can hear the waves crashing, it is literally right on the beach. So peaceful for breakfast!

Our time here was memorable. The good was in good proportion. The quality was great, the service was great. We had a 1030a.m. reservation of 12 so it felt a little rushed to order being the kitchen closes at 11a.m. until dinner but literally everything else was fantastic. Our waiters were great and cut my baby shower cake for us perfectly and stored it for us as well being it was an ice cream cake! Would definitely recommend. Views were priceless.
