La Sala's Bi-rite Market - Monterey

This place has the best sandwhiches..but is missing more variety on the chips..whats a sub without chips

I had heard a lot about this place for years, and I never got around to go in there. At first glance it’s a very nice and clean deli. Kudos to the employees that are maintaining the kitchen. The shelves in the store are sparsely loaded with merchandise. However, they do have a few unique items. The prices are higher than average I purchased a Reuben sandwich and my surprise it did not come with thousand island. The cheese was not Swiss. It was provolone and it has pickles and peppers. Very unusual for a Reuben. The meat is not stacked as it typically should be. I also got a mortadella cold sandwich Perhaps my expectations were too high.

Way better than Erik's Deli. Never a soggy sandwich.

This place was extremely welcoming, they have delicious and affordable sandwiches, check them out if you’re visiting or passing by the area.

Always a great sandwich, never disappointed
