Hula's Island Grill - Monterey

We had a great time overall. After visiting the aquarium, we decided to grab a bite to eat at this fun restaurant with delicious food. We highly recommend stopping by for lunch.

This restaurant is incredibly enjoyable! It has the perfect island atmosphere that locals love. The food, drinks, and overall vibe are fantastic. The wings are especially delicious and unique. The happy hour deals are great too, with $7 appetizers and $10/$14 Tiki drinks.

The Tiki drinks are fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and the food is delicious! This restaurant is a favorite among locals and also welcoming to tourists.

Arrived on a Friday at around 5:15 and was seated immediately. Happy hour was still going until 5:30, so we ordered the ceviche and the wings. The ceviche was pretty lemony, so if that’s not your thing, might wanna order something else. The wings were bomb, super fresh and tasty. Came with some sort of coconut flavor sauce which was pretty good. For the main meal I got the Jawaiian Jerk Pork plate. It’s sweet at first, but the heat creeps up on you. My partner got the Ahi with chimichurri. The Ahi was cooked really nicely. I probably would’ve tried the lemongrass one instead of the chimichurri, but I’ll make a mental note for next time. Hula’s always provides solid food, you won’t be disappointed.

Great Hawaiian Island style restaurant with Tiki Bar to go with it. Great way to remind yourself that you're on vacation. Even if you're not. The fresh cut fries are utterly and completely perfect. Pork was great. Slaw had an interesting spice which was different but good. Plantains could have been a titch softer. Mix drinks were well made Boat Drinks. Live life friends!
