Giannis Pizza - Monterey

I used to visit Giannis pizza in Monterey as a kid for special occasions, and I recently had the chance to return during a visit to California. The restaurant has a classic pizza place atmosphere with plenty of seating and a fun setting with TVs. When I tried the pizza again, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was just as delicious as I remembered. I haven't found any pizza joints on the east coast that compare to Giannis, which disappoints me. I'm already planning my next trip back to California. And don't forget to try the side salads with peppers, they are awesome!

To be honest, this is the worst Italian pizza I've ever tried. First of all, their pizza is not Italian, it is more like American pizza. Thick crust, the dough doesn't have an Italian taste. We ordered Margarita pizza and it is just a cheese pizza with tomatoes and a HUGH amount of fresh garlic on it. Linguine pasta wasn't good as well. Will not recommend this place

Super busy self service kind of place, with that understood. . . Great food, all staff working hard to meet customer needs, clean restrooms.

Pizza was decent, but could have been better. God parking.

This place has been a favorite of mine ever since childhood. I wish they would deliver to my home in Seaside California by Capra Park.
