Fish Hopper - Monterey

We've been here for years. Yes, it's a bit touristy?.but the BEST Clam Chowder is around. We ate in another restaurant on Cannery Row the night before, sorry. Our male server was great! We ordered the record for two and everything on it was fantastic. The salmon, lobster, shrimp?

Lunch here this weekend... the best meal we had in our 2 day trip to Monterey. The service was excellent, the view was breathtaking. The food was heavenly... just delicious, fresh and perfectly prepared. This is a very beautiful place to have an intimate and peaceful meal. My only regret was that I didn't save space for Dessert. I have read that they also have excellent desserts! Let's visit Monterey next time.

I admit that when I read on the menu, I first swore that the clam chowder was awarded. I changed after the first taste. It is objectively one of the best Clam Chowders I had. I would describe it as creamy, smooth, a delicate (if that is possible for a chowder). The bowl is sufficient for a meal (more filling than it looks). The cup is a good compliment for something else. The bread bowl is plentiful. As for cheesecake... I give him an 11 out of 10. Absolutely amazing. Even the garnish raspberries/bromberries were somehow perfect.

Perfectly prepared Calamari $16, oysters on the half shell $25, small cup New England clam chowder $9. Sensitive and attentive service. The view from my place was incredible. Really loved. But my expectation when I pay such high prices is that I get at least a few crackers with my soup and don't get an extra $5 for a few small rolls. I know times are hard and in this place you pay additional fees for the location. Great if you're gone. If you have no ton of money to spend, then there are several other places near you can get food for much less. This place is ideal for a unique special place to eat. Not for those in a limited holiday budget. Wouldn't recommend bringing children, as this is a quiet meeting place for adults.

A great view sitting on the water with an array of dishes to choose from. About 80% are seafood, so beware if seafood isn?t your thing. Since half of our party loved seafood it was perfect. The clam chowder is very creamy, the portions just right. Desserts beautifully presented and scrumptious! No shortage of staff, always someone there to help.
