I was taken aback by my experience. While the reviews were positive and the decor had a distinctly British charm, the food fell short of expectations. However, the service was commendable; without it, I would have rated this place just two stars. My cottage pie was presented like a slice of cake, and the vegetables were hardly cooked. My wife's meal was similarly unimpressive. We dined there during a bustling weekend because of a special event, which likely put pressure on the staff, but I still left feeling disappointed.

I had a Heffeweizen and my date had a hard cider. Heffe was good, cider not so much. For food, we ate fish and chips and an appetizer of onion rings. The onion rings were dynamite! So flavorful, perfectly crisp. Fish and chips were good too, but I'd go back just to get those onion rings again! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
