I had some family members come from out of town and honestly this restaurant deserves 5 stars, but long wait time due to short staffing makes that one star deduction an honest review. Jiang jiang mein is a must and any hand pulled noodles. I just love their chewy texture.
I ordered shrimp noodles but they gave me vegetable noodles which should be the order of other customers. I found out it was not the one that i ordered so i called. But the owner asked me to bring it back, which i touched already. I said if i walked back, i didn't have enough time as i am working. She said i needed to bring it back so that she can give my veggie to the customer and i can get my shrimp one. Oh my god... That is not the right way to do. What is worse, she said you can keep that one and next time i order one more time, then she will charge me for the veggie one. So the fault will be on me. How come an owner makes a mistake and ask customer to bear the fault. If so, it turns out i eat something i don't like and still go to your place one more time. That's ridiculous. PS shrimp one is also more expensive than the veggie one. So i am very disappointed at the owner's way of dealing with customers. Never go to the store...never!
Much more authentic than I am used to. DELICIOUS, and very inexpensive. I enjoyed all of the plates and had lots left over for dinner. Beef noodles were flavorful and tasted home made, green onion pancakes were tasty and had a nice crunch, and salt pepper pork chops were well seasoned. I will be coming back for sure. I have a few more plates I want to try. Cash only, and super small place, but the staff are friendly and hard workers.
Authentic Taiwanese feel good restaurant. Cute hole in the wall spot with great “knife cut noodles” and dumplings!
