Stumbled across this place whilst visiting the castle. Good food, modest prices and both dog and child friendly! What more could you want for a lunch in Montendre?!
Visited on a wet and windy August day. Warm welcome, excellent food and great service- couldn't ask for anything more and highly recommend.

Superb little restaurant near the castle in Montendre. Food was excellent and service great. Three course set menu included a lovely home cooked tart, pork confit and duck fat chips and a patisserie desert. Great value and a must visit.
