La Terrasse - MONTE SAN SAVINO

We stumbled on this lovely restaurant while staying at Borgo 69 as its in one of the closest villages. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and very well presented. It was cool on a very hot day and had pretty views. Thank you!

This is a very good restaurant with a higher class kitchen! We weren’t super hungry so we shared a pasta which wasn’t a problem and we came for the steak. The steak was amazing! Great meat quality and taste. They were super nice with our dog as well! View is stunning but no sunset view.

Several of the restaurants in this attractive hilltop town only serve lunch on Sunday, so we felt fortunate that La Terrasse was not only open but had some other people eating there. A glass wall on three sides means that you can have a view of the surrounding countryside without freezing. The decor and setting are very pleasant, the service agreeable and efficient. There is plenty to choose from, including a number of fish dishes if, like me, you don 't eat meat. However, my husband 's lamb chops were pronounced 'terrific '! I started with the pear and pecorino 'tart ' and still have no idea how it was made, although it was delicious. The mixed salad was copious. We were able to have a choice of glasses of different wine for the same price of 5 euros, which seemed very reasonable. All in all, a restaurant to be highly recommended.

In our Toscan week we went to La Terrace twice. The first time we could have our dinner outside, marvellous. I had the salmon, which was nice, but my partner went for the tuna. And right she was! So succulent and so nicely flavoured. The second time we both opted for the ossobuco, it was certainly allright, we enjoyed it, but it was no match for the tuna. We appreciated the nice wine list and certainly the friendliness of the chef.

We enjoyed all the meals we had in that restaurant last summer. They were really kind and thoughtful with our kid of 2 years. This restaurant has nice views of the countryside. The food and the service excellent. We are going to repeat.
