Place really well kept and cook homemade. really great appetizer, as well as the first. the meatballs to the sauce good but better. attentive and courteous service but a little slow. good value for money
We had a 2 night stay in this wonderful stone farmhouse/converted B&B.Rustic charm, warm ambience, this accomodation does more than offer beds to travellers. During our stay, there were party/functions and school visits;they also do weddings. The young children were being taught the benefits of fresh, homemade produce from the farm. There is a real sense of pride and community and we were made very welcome and treated with respect and genuine hospitality from the owners. The room we had on the top floor had views across to the hills and surrounding farmlands. From the timber beams to the antique furniture, the room had so much character.Large comfortable bed,sky chanel TV,desk and well appointed bathroom all contributed to a relaxing stay. Then there was the superb food!Breakfast, which was included in the price, consisted off scrambled eggs, great cappuccinos, cheeses and meats, bread:all made from their own farm.We also had 2 sumptuous dinners in their restaurant, that again show-cased their fresh produce;the antipasto and pastas are a must have. The friendliness of the staff and their genuine efforts to speak with you, really make you feel at home. A truly memorable experience.
We stayed overnight here and dined whilst there was an ongoing wedding party. The service was impeccable and the food (locally sourced, indeed much from the patrons' own farm), was superb. The meal was a pre set menu which obviated the need for tiresome dithering and also was accompanied by local and highly quaffable wines. The roasted kid goat (from their own flock) was deliciously tender; and for those of us Britishers who might be in fear of a relatively unusual meat, was very like lamb in flavour and texture The antipasti were a triumph. If you have the opportunity divert your trip in Calabria but book ahead!
