In my opinion, this is the best poke spot in the neighborhood. While many places have fresh fish, the sauces here are exceptional and really make a difference. I particularly love the kimchi sauce combined with the oke house sauce. They even serve Dole Whip at a reasonable price! I've been a regular here for years, and although the prices have increased and some items, like masago, seem to have disappeared from the menu, it remains my go-to place for poke. By the way, I recently tried another poke place nearby, and their sauces didn't even come close to comparing!
We had a disappointing experience at Oke Poke Monrovia last night. I spoke with a manager today who informed me about some new policies mandated by corporate. Previously, if you opted out of avocado, you could receive an extra scoop of crab at no additional charge, but that is no longer allowed. Additionally, I have consistently requested double lettuce for my salad without rice, which used to be offered without extra cost, but that has changed as well. The manager also mentioned that they are now instructed to serve smaller portions of poke, despite the fact that menu prices have increased by 25%. I ordered three scoops of two different types of fish, but based on the photo, I can't tell if either the tuna or salmon was actually two scoops.
What a wonderful experience I had for lunch today at Oke Poke!Eric was a polite young man who greeted everyone with a smile and kindness. He was helpful and knowledgeable of the offerings. The food was delicious and fresh. Bonus: I was able to maintain my keto food plan. I definitely will be back! Thank you Eric.
My favorite poke place in Monrovia. Fish is fresh, many side options (including free avocado?? that's awesome! , and flavorful sauce. Portions can be very generous depending on who's working haha! The service is great. Parking is very easy, located in the Vons grocery plaza.
