Freddie Cascio's Italian And Cajun

I had dinner at Freddie’s last night and the food was AMAZING! We had not eaten there in several years because we live about 30 minutes away from the restaurant. It is absolutely worth driving a few extra minutes to eat their incredible food. Freddie Cascios rivals any of the great restaurants in New Orleans. We can’t wait to go back and try another one of the delicious dishes that Freddie and his amazing staff prepares for us.

Freddie Cascios Italian restaurant offers a unique dish featuring red snaps paired with tender meat, complemented by fresh sal petitto and roasted red cherry tomatoes. The petitto is indeed renowned for its earthy flavor, all beautifully presented in a light sauce with delicately peeled fresh crab. It's a delightful combination that showcases the fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors of the cuisine.

I started with the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, which were perfectly coated in a golden, light batter! For my main course, I had the seafood gumbo, and it was absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful dining experience, made even better by getting to see friends.

The food was fantastic, but it was Corey, our server, who truly made our evening special!

Good location. cannelloni is tasty not a huge part. friendly service and a lot of history at this place. we had a great meal and experience here every time when we went with big or small groups.
