The Blackwater Cafe - Moneta

Finally came in for dinner after having amazing take out. Our waitress, Jordan was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable! The food was to die for, I have never had a pork chop so flavorful and juicy! And you HAVE to get the crab fries and desserts withHOMEMADE whipped cream! We will be back

My husband and I enjoyed dinner at the Blackwater Cafe last night. The food was good. He had the fried shrimp and I had panned fried Mahi mahi. The breading on the shrimp was light and crisp. The fish was tender with a light nicely flavored white sauce.The bartender served up an excellent Old Fashion and then a Chocolate Martini for dessert. We will ask for our waitress, Rachelagain. She was attentive, personable and friendly without being too much. The real reason for the 5 star rating though is forwhat happened after we left the restaurant. I accidentally left my purse hooked over my chair. Today the owner returned it to meat our lake house after researching our address. Kudos to him. That is definitely going above and beyond what would beexpected.

We walked past this restaurant numerous times during our stay in SML and finally decided to give it a go. We were really pleased that we did! The service was outstanding, and the food was quite delightful. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, accompanied by a side of fries. I highly recommend trying the fries with the honey butter from the bread basket—it almost tastes like waffles! I wouldn't have thought to try it had I not overheard other diners talking about it.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. We were in town for a few days enjoying SML, and this place was just a two-minute walk from our accommodation. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious!

From the moment we were greeted by the young host until the moment we stepped out the door, the service was fantastic! We traveled all the way from Wisconsin for this incredible food, and we will definitely be coming back! My personal favorite was the Peach Cobbler.
