My favorite restaurants are the little hole in the wall places that pay no attention to decor but just concentrate on food.This is a take out only hole in the wall Canadiana Chinese that won't disappoint.Food was fresh and good with prices you would expect from an establishment like this.Don't judge a book by it's cover !Looking for good hole in the wall? Used to be our #1 for Chinese.....In March we ordered a dinner for 2 combo and an order of chicken vermicelli. Dinner for 2 was ok, egg rolls tasted old my companions said. My ch. vermicelli was terrible. If you can't do it well don't do it. A pile of noodles, a bit of chicken and green onion, sprouts. NO sauce! 2 packets of soya sauce in the bag with it. Um...soya sauce? Was awful. So today (Easter Sunday) we order at 4:00 (they open at 3) Dinner for 3. Again egg rolls tasted old. Rice was cold and dry. Chicken balls & SS sauce are watery tasting. Just overall lack of flavour. Time for a new Chinese place for us.

Phoenix is simply the best Chinese Takeaway in Moncton. The portion sizes are generous and the taste of the food is excellent.

The chow mein, chicken balls and egg rolls were delicious and cooked to perfection. The fried rice I found underwhelming - it tasted mushy, like it had been overcooked in a little too much liquid. The only thing I found lacking in the whole meal.

This is our preferred Chinese take-out in the area. I think they've got the best chicken balls in town. Prices are good and the order is generally ready in 25 minutes.
