Marc's Fried Clams - Moncton

Having read the reviews we decided to try the place out. From what we can gather it has changed hands 2 times. From father to son and then to the current owner. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the fish and chips and they were lightly breaded good size pieces of haddock and fresh cut fries. My husband ordered the clams. They were advertised as clam strips but what we actually got was clam bellies. Lightly battered and cooked they came in a smaller than expected quantity. We also felt that they tasted too fishy ,when we asked another customer what they thought they agreed too fishy. Are they not fresh? Not sure. We will try again somewhere else. Maybe it was just this batch. Not bad but not good either.

These were the worse clams I have ever had. Very disappointed. Supposed to be the son of the owners of Goulds Fried Clams. I don't believe it. I was charged way too much for what I got. Didn't enjoy this meal at all.

I was a little apprehensive to try after the management change . But am here to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food quality was perfect - we only had the fish and fries so I can not speak for the rest of the menu. the fish was crispy and not at all greasy - even to the last piece . I love fish and chips and would put them at the top . My only critique is the amount of fries - but that being said I have no problem giving them 2 thumbs up.

Today was our first visit to Marc's and we were very pleased with the food. Two had fish and chips, one had scallops, and I had fried clams and chips. The food tasted great, the cashier was friendly, the place was clean. All in all, it was a great experience. We would certainly return when in Moncton.

Ordered a large clam no fries. The lady says "that will be $29.00"! I could not believe one large order of clams was almost $30.00. She showed me the large container and it wasn't all that big! I decided to order a small. When the cashier handed me the container for $12.00. -ish it felt like the weight of a piece of paper. I got 12 clams! With awesome places like Fred's , Bel Air and Aboiteau , I will NEVER set foot in this rip-off place again.I paid $1.00 plus per clam!
