We did not order her staple, which is boulalo, but we asked the broth with some vegetables, which they are committed to free. The broth was pretty good, but not great, typical of batangas-style Bulalo (I prefer Negros's Canti style). Grief Her Banghus SISG was very good and her Paksiw na Lechon. I recommend both dishes. The Extra Ensaladang-Talong was just fine, nothing from the ordinary. Coffee is free flowing, which is a nice touch. The mango with sticky rice was just fine. During another visit, we tried her maliputo fish, but they had grilled. I regretted this as she did not do that well. Our fault to ask for something else as your specified type (her was "Kinamatisang Maliputo). Maybe we should try your version next time.
In any case, one of the worst restaurants I have ever gone. First, your service is absolutely awful. The waiter serving us was busy to remedy that he even poured a lot of water that flooded the glass. One of the glasses given to us still had oil. Most servers were busy to watch that they could not take care of us immediately. The place was really hot because the only air conditioning, which was turned on, was the one near the server. Grief Grief The food was below average. Your beef caldereta was hard and the portion size and the total quality is not worth the price. Grief I never go back to this restaurant and would never recommend to eat here.
What a let down! Wouldn't be surprised if they closed sometime soon. Management should change the entire staff. Absolutely a dreadful experience. Let me recall it: All of the waiters' eyes were glued to the television. It was hard to call their attention. They apparently had all the aircon to themselves. They did not even bother opening the one near us as long as they were comfortable. We had to eat while sweating like pigs. No one batted their eyes away from the television!! The glasses they served have oil in it. When we politely asked them to change it; one of the waiters had a grumpy expression, annoyed with the fact that we disturbed their telenovela session (geez!). When he was pouring another glass, he spilled it all on our table. WTF. He tsk-ed and off he went. He never showed himself again. The new waiter that served us was no better. He was carrying our meals but his eyes were stuck on the television! Can you imagine what if the hot dishes fell on us? Kuya, you're here to work, not for leisure! They even charge you a service fee. WTF. Pathetic. Won't recommend anyone coming here. Won't even return here again. itsemified.com
