Aroy-Thai Restaurant - MODBURY

Well, pretty decent thai cuisine. Not the best but quite good though with good price. Had dinner with friends for people only $70. Pandan chicken leave was delish, red beef curry was so so, fried rice was ok and pad thai was good as well. Not bad for dine in with friends or family.

Nice enough Thai food, not overly spectacular but no real issues either. We shared Satay skewers (beef and chicken) which were very tasty. Prawn toast, special fried rice, cashew beef, golden garlic prawns, lemongrass pork, pandam chicken were all enjoyable meals to share. Waitresses were nice and the service was fairly good. Would go back here.

Team lunch! Came in a fairly large group of six. Restaurant was mostly empty but the coolness when you walk in was definitely appreciated on such a humid day!! Service was good, was brought refrigerated water without even being asked! We ordered kueh combination, pad Thai and ginger chicken with varying special orders. The staff were courteous and got them all correct!! That's sort of where the positives end. The kueh combination was ok, comments were generally that it wasn't too bad. I had the pad Thai and found it overly saucy and sweet. Kinda puts you off after a few bites. The chicken however was nice and tender and the prawn came without the prawn tails, making for an easy eat! Disappointingly as a table of six, the meals came out one by one with the last dish (a second pad Thai order) coming out a lot later than the other dishes. Not something you really want when you don't have all the time in the world and you want to be nice and actually eat lunch together! Overall would probably only come back here if I couldn't go anywhere else during my lunch break.

I ordered the Beef Penang and it was disappointing. The sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. The staff weren't that friendly or accommodating either. On a positive note, the restaurant itself is quite cute, located inside a small cottage style house.
