It is quite old (80's style) but for me it was perfect as I did not build like huge modern square resort on the beach. The location is amazing: it is near the beach, and very quiet, but close to all restaurants / bars and supermarket. The room was clean, shower was fine (you need some patience for hot water). I had an upper terrace overlooking the sea and could hear the waves from my bed. I can't find a better deal for the value. I would definitely go back!
The rooms are excellent: clean, comfortable and just steps from the beach. The rooms catch the afternoon breeze. The staff is helpful, even with small needs. The restaurant serves an excellent selection of delicious dishes, even at a good price. We stayed for a whole week and used the proximity of a large supermarket around the corner. The hotel is family friendly and feels like a real DR experience. This is our third stay here and we will be back.
I had a great time. Hotel Alegria is located near everything that is still from the crowd. The owner/manager is always available to solve any problem and gives Grest advice on day trips, sights and culture. There is a walk to the beach! The restaurant at the hotel has a varied and great menu. Mommy, the cook is highly qualified and freshly cooked everything itself. The staff is friendly and attentive. I will return!
I was very pleased with my standard room. It’s a little small, but relatively inexpensive and very clean. Bed is very comfortable and the location is great. Very quiet at night. They have larger rooms at a slightly more expensive prive. The staff at the hotel is very nice.
Very friendly staff. However not sure if there was a hole in one of the screens or they left the door open when cleaning, but on the second night the room filled with mosquitoes. Also there was no Wi-Fi from studio room 15. Raised to 3 stars because of quick response here. I should have mentioned wifi at front desk after first night.
