The Admiral - Mobile

This is a gem of a historic hotel in downtown Mobile. The valet manager Daniel was amazing! He gave us a tour of the many renovations being carried out at the hotel. The new rooms look phenomenal. There will be a five star steak house inside the lobby and a bourbon bar as well.The location could not be better if you plan on sampling the entertainment on Dauphin Street.I have stayed at many hotels in Mobile and this is my favorite.

This hotel is beautiful and is downtown-walking distance to amazing restaurants. They allowed us to bring our dog. The staff at the bar was amazing, especially Craig. And they baked amazing cookies every day! We will definitely stay there again if we’re staying in Mobile.

This is false advertisement, nothing like the pictures, nothing in the building is open. The general manager is rude. They ruinedmy stay for my grandmother’s funeral. I would not choose this hotel for nothing!

Musty smell in the lobby and rooms. No restaurant. Pool is outside with no usage in extreme hot temperatures. No umbrellas. Blinds were old. Rooms were cramped and bonus points were big tv and refrigerator in the room.

I want to give this hotel a higher rating but I simply can't. The decor of the room is beautiful. The staff was pleasant. My chief complaint is the sound of the a/c unit throughout the night. Everytime the a/c comes on the unit is so loud that sleep is continuously disrupted through the night. There was also another noise that we could not pinpoint. It sounded like some construction of some sort. The valet asked how our stay was and we said the a/c unit prevented us from having a rested night. He told us the building is old and they are working to upgrade everything including the a/c units.
