Texas Roadhouse - Mobile

The food was fantastic! The wait time seemed mostly due to how busy the restaurant was. We really enjoyed the ribs; they were incredibly tender and delicious. The sides were excellent as well. The baked potato was also very good, and I appreciated that each topping was provided separately in the bag, so I could heat it up again when I got home. Thanks for a wonderful Sunday afternoon meal—no clean-up and great food!

First, a shoutout to Lilly my excellent server who was working hard tonight! She also handled my to go order for my family member with everything requested. Thanks Lilly! Great dinner tonight, steak cooked perfectly, yummy drink, crowded but not too loud restaurant enjoyable! Yeast rolls were fluffy and risen well (other locations should learn from this. So why 4 stars? Management. First i was seated in the narrow booths on the aisle leading back to the kitchen. Waitstaff and managers used this area to rest, for breaks, and a manager used a booth to give a group a pep talk about scheduling adjustments. He drank from a can and left the can on the table which was never cleaned after all these folks used the booths. In fact, a couple was seated there across from me and I pointed out the open can and told them they needed their booth and table cleaned. This was awkward and tbh while I agree staff needs a break space it should not be among diners. Nor should managers counsel while I am having a meal that tbh is an escape from reality and a time to relax. These young people work hard find an appropriate place to help them catch a break and have counsel. Still a favorite location that has proven consistency.

We visited yesterday to take advantage of the fantastic food voucher that Texas Roadhouse provided for veterans on Veterans Day. I decided to try something new and ordered the country fried sirloin. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was and how tender the meat was. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes and a side salad, both of which were delicious. Our waiter was polite and made sure my glass of tea was always full.

We arrived at 5:00 PM and waited 20 minutes to be seated, which wasn't too bad. After that, my husband and I placed our orders. We were just a party of two, so it shouldn't have taken long. However, we ended up waiting 50 minutes for our food. I asked to speak with the manager, who informed me that the typical wait time for food is between 45 minutes to an hour. Eventually, our food arrived, but unfortunately, my baked potato was cold, and so were my port chips. My husband had the same meal, and his food was also cold. Some guests wait an hour just to be seated; waiting another hour for our meals is simply unacceptable. Overall, the food was disappointing and far too cold!

1. Bone in ribeye was not cooked correctly. 2. The complimentary bread/rolls were not cooked through and chewy/doughy. The manager was informed and the I could still see the same bread served by wait staff. 3. Two appetizers were ordered and only the blooming onion came out; however cold. I asked another team member to replace the blooming onion despite couldn't locate my waitress after 10 minutes. 4. All food was over seasoned except the sweet potato and bake potato. 5. After the problems 1-4, the waitress made an effort to promptly come check on the table in a timely manner; yet ignore the gentleman at the table. I usually have a great time at this restaurant and no complaints but this evening was not pleasant. I still left a 18% tip despite the issues. Hopefully this will reach the right people and make necessary changes.
