Food is very good, and preparation very quick! Staff is friendly but they seems so busy that the service is not super high… That’s the problem when small place become too popular… This shop is in every tourist books so I recommend to try only if you are here for mid long stay (3/4 days or more There are many other great burger places on the island, especially if you are here on a 1/2 days short stay!
I want to be honest about this. This restaurant boasts about it being born in the US and the owner being American-Japanese. So, I was excited to have what I assumed was an authentic american burger. Alas it was not. If you're american living in Japan I think you will understand what I mean when I say this is a Japanese Hamburger. I want Doug's to change the fat/lean ratio and get different buns. The store was clean and the staff was friendly but I wasn't impressed due to this point.
Pretty tasty beef burger with onion rings and drink as a set. Burger set is around ¥2000/¥2500, but can get pretty if you go for their fancy beef. There's also a Tina steak as well as a vegan/vegetarian burger option!
The Good: If you've eaten burgers in Japan, then you know there are a lot of not-so-great burgers. This burger was pretty good. Seasoning was good, guacamole (avacado paste? was decent, and the karashi mayo was unique. The Bad: The wait. It's always busy because it's in all the travel guides. If possible, make a reservation. The price. The basic burger starts out at about 900¥, but the premium beef burger is about 4,000¥. Overall: If you want a gourmet burger look elsewhere. These burgers are basic, but tasty. I don't think the premium beef is worth the price, so just stick with the basic burger. Staff was friendly and fast.
Friendly staffs. I came on a Tuesday at 18, not crowded as thr other reviews suggest. Counter seats and a few table seats were open, no waiting time. Burgers was delicious and carefully build. One would say this Isn't exactly the american taste, the Miyako/Tarma beef in the burger was surprisingly good though.
