I felt compelled to write this review after I had the most amazing lunch in o callaghans today. they have not yet open indoor dinning backs, but they have a stunning outdoor seating area. I knew that she was just too foot in the moment so that I really jump my poor into lunch, but was very surprised that I had luck waiting only for mins to sit and could give my order during the waiting. I had the deep fried brie to begin with salat and chili jam and was literally licking my lips afterwards. I had not eaten this evening meal and my main course just came out what carved beef salat with rustic keile and thorn rings and omg it was absolutely devine. the staff was excellent and I felt like a vip I really did. that's why I left a big tip. I would highly recommend this excellent food ice cream if they are ever in the opposite. well done. will be back. trish heu
My sister, who I stopped in mitchelstown on the way to the family in killarney. we parked and started eating somewhere after a bite. we wandered in O’Callaghans and met their pleasant, professional staff who gave us a warm welcome....The food is cooked to order quickly. my sister is on a special diet and they have forced a chicken caesar salate for her. everything was as she wanted and she definitiw enjoyed her meal! I ordered the warm salmon and potato cake with salad and they were very attractive. the accompanying salad had a nice light dressing with a slightly sweet kick that perfectly complemented the dish. there was also a wonderful dressing for the fish that was buzzing, chunk and fennel (I think) that was so wonderful that I was the last of my spreading to some of the delicious garlic brot that accompanied our order. I rounded off with a real cup tee, made the right away, with boiling water and good quality tee. (I am creepy about my tee and it is rare to make it right in restaurants like the boilers so ubiquitous in restaurant kitchens in these days simply not the water hot enough to properly start the tee brewing, no matter what the company rep says, sis’ American was good; I know because they ordered two of them. no photos because we have eaten too much! O’Callaghan’s offer at the moment in their pleasant backyard, protected from the rain through a dach, but open to all sides. coviding rules social distancing were in force staff (and guests all wore their masks right. in any case worth a visit, whether you are a local, a tourist or just going through.
