River City Grill - Missoula

The restaurant has clearly seen better days. The flooring is worn and gives off an unclean impression. The booths with plastic backing are overdue for replacement. The food itself was quite lackluster and uninspired. My salad was just bland iceberg lettuce with two slices of beet. The waitress even forgot my dressing right after I ordered it. I ordered Shepherd's Pie, but I had to drown it in ketchup and hot sauce just to add some flavor. I also paid $4 for a 12oz can of PBR—seriously, a can? Overall, this place feels like a dump. If you walk in with low expectations, you likely won’t be let down.

The service is good, but the food is just average. It’s no longer worth the drive from Missoula since they removed the cheesecake from the menu.

We ate there 2 times within 24 hours! It was very good food and great service! Our favorites were the tomato soup and grilled cheese, clam chowder soup, chef salad, and the banana nut French toast! All fantastic!!

Dinner was excellent, going for breakfast now. Breakfast was excellent as well.
