Zen Gardens - Mississauga

A short walk from the Holiday Inn Express and the service was slow but the food was great and plentiful. I had the Kung Po Soy Fritters dinner combo and Ginger Hopper drink. Combo included Wonton soup and two bite size appetizers.

Stopped here for lunch on May 5/2014. One member of our group is a vegetarian. Not knowing what to order, we received some friendly advice from a couple, with infant, seating at next table. Their dishes looked tempting and taking a cue from their favourites, we ordered and shared 3 main dishes of "seitan", teriyaki cutlets, and a "sizzling hot" eggplant dish (non-spicy). We all agreed that the seitan and cutlets were extraordinarily good, and the eggplant ok. Main issue with the eggplant was visual as eggplant looked limp and soft with unattractive colour, although it was tasty. Can hardly wait to return to sample those again. We ate everything and were content with size of portons. Finished off with delicate, beautiful aroma of rose tea. Reasonably priced at just over $60 for the three of us. Service good, atmosphere very comfy, clean and relaxed. A terrific experience

Very accommodating as it was 3 babies and 3 sets of parents. It was our first time trying a vegetarian Chinese restaurant. We loved it!!!!!!! The food was amazing and very filling. My husband and I cant wait to go back.I reccomend the 14.99 combination dinner as you get the soup of the day, a dumpling, a wonton and the bento box. Try the teriyaki cutlets.....I loved the sauce they used.Good service & good food!

With such a huge menu, it's a good thing the service at Zen Gardens is laid-back, because we needed a lot of time to go through all the selections. The menu leans heavily on soy-based meat substitutes, which I avoid and my meat-eating friend is horrified by. We stuck to the strictly unadulterated veggie options, and had a very nice meal including mushroom balls, eggplant hotpot, sweet and sour burdock (lappa) and two of their specialty teas.

The food was generous and tasty. I enjoyed the box lunch with my colleagues. We shared a dim sum dish that was great, too.
