We drove from Man Doo Hyang on the way to one of our favorite Koreans Fried Chicken Restaurant, located in the same Plaza, but never really thought to eat here. On the outside of the place did not really look like a popular dining area, because you can not see the diners inside, but in the restaurant is spacious and when we were dined there on Sunday, the place was easily crowded because the lunch amount began to come later on the day. This is the first Korean restaurant where we sit in typical Korean fashion, the low tables. The restaurant has an extensive menu, but we decided before our arrival to order our normal favorite dishes. We ordered Jokbal whicj is a rich, hearty dish made by pork cuffs in spices for hours until they completely absorb the flavors and are soft, shiny, and glazed with the meat fall from the bone. You eat pork wrapped in salad leaves, and you can dip it into special Korean sauce and put some secondary dishes such as Kimchi and bean sprouts. Apart from Korean Pajun or pancake, my husband always commands his beef bulgogi. My youngest son again ordered his favorite geanjajang or noodles with black bean sauce. Just to make our meal as authentic as what I see in Korean dramas, I asked my son to order a fruity soy. We usually order the grapes Soju, but this time we have tasted the plum flavored Soju. Hubby said it tasted like cough syrup. We were not able to finish it so I decided to bring it home like my nightcapsule (a little alcohol makes me sleep better at night). It is an unexpected new favorite restaurant for us.
The change in property last year was a blessing. Before that, everything was terrible. I'm here several times because our meeting has happened. Was disappointed every time. When the new owner took over Lady, the food tastes great and the service excellent.
The best place for BoSaam. Good Jijiangmyun. All dishes are usually good. Pleasant server, efficient service. Home.
I have lived in Seoul for months, so I have a high expectation of authentic Korean foods and this place definitely has it right. It has all the dishes you would expect in an authentic Korean restaurant and so far everything I have ordered was amazing, tasty and boiled exactly right. If you see Koreans sitting at all tables, you know that it must be quite authentic. No complaints. I was there three times and I wanted to go back. It does not look like a high-end restaurant, but do not leave the simple outer fool you, the food is amazing.
I often eat Korean pork bone soup and like to travel around trying new stores that serve them. The serving we got lacked flavour, especially the potatoes which was a little too bland and tough to chew on. We also ordered their veggie dumplings but we did not enjoy their texture. The skin was too thick and veggie inside fell apart as soon as we bit into it.
