Holy Smokez BBQ Sandwiches

Going Going Gone? A too late discovery. Deceptive decent portions, very tasty. Apparently survived the bulk of the Covid 19 pandemic only to discover it is now closing/closed due to Covid 19 fall out. Too bad

We stopped by here while in the area. We ordered a brisket sandwhich, pork and slaw sandwich and brisket poutine. The food was really good. The slaw had the right amount of acidity and tang to balance out the pulled pork. The fries were the right consistency, the gravy went well with the fries and had the right thickness, the brisket went with the whole thing to make it taste great all together. The brisket sandwich was very good. Some people probably don't like the bread being a bit soggy, but I think they are right to have it this way. If you eat this type of sandwich and the bread is hard, all of the filling just falls out the back. We are mid pandemic so we didn't eat in here. However, even if we could the place seemed really small. I don't think it's the type of place you can eat. Also the parking situation was not really great Now for the service... The guy who took the orders really put me off. He was abrasive, a bit rude, very obviously grumpy. I live across town and dealing with this guy gave me no reason to want to make the journey to the west end to eat here. There are places which have great service, and they make you feel welcome and you want to go back to that BBQ place. This is not one of those places.

Texas BBQ joint which focuses on having their smoked meats in burgers and also ribs. Worth a try if you like Texas BBQ slow cooked and saucy.

We ordered from here on Uber eats and did not enjoy the food. We ordered brisket sandwiches, a pork poutine, and chili cheese fries, and the meat tasted like it was over cooked and looked dry. The brisket sandwiches did not have enough sauce and the packaging of the items was terrible. The pork poutine tasted like cardboard which was really disappointing considering the great rating this place has. We would not order from here again.

It's in an older plaza, but don't let the looks dissuade you. Their pulled pork sandwich is great, and pairs well with their brisket chilli. Good place to go if your just craving bbq on a smaller scale
