Chiu Chow Man - Mississauga

As one of the only options for chiu chow food in Mississauga, they can get away with having awful service. Owners and staff can be outright rude on occasions. Food is decent and the price is ok. Would not go here if there were other options for chiu chow food.

Pretty good food, reasonable prices, gotta get to know the service. This would be a typical chiu chow food, goose/duck, tripe and brisket, cooked lettuce, congee etc … The chiu chow were coolies on the HongKong docks and to get in a full day's labour, they ate heartily. So greasy, belly filling gruel is the order of the day.Don't expect your typical canto cuisine. Expect a cheap (although in canada it is expensive) meal and you won't be disappointed. The duck is excellent. The steamed whole fish nicely done, the tripe and intestines were outstanding. And the prices, for toronto, ok. Cash only.

I have been to Chiu Chow Man restaurant several times and it is only fitting to write a review about the place. I love this place. The quality of the food is always good no matter what you order. The price of the dishes is quite reasonable. There may be lineups during the busy times but it is worth the wait. I love to start my meal with the Sweet Corn Soup. Then follow it up with the Chicken Fried Rice with Salty Fish and the Sweet and Sour Fillet. You will most likely see the owner during your visit to this place. He has got to be one of the most hardworking individuals that I have ever met. Check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Found this place using this app and was not disappointed. Not your average chinese restaurant. The food is great. The portions are very generous and the cost is below average considering the portions sizes. Chiu Chow Man doesn't decorate to impress but who cares when the food is this good ;)

Have been here a few times and at least my review is consistent.Average to very good 4*.Place is convenient. Clean. Service ok, not the friendliest.Food...taste good. Presented well. Portions relatively small for price.Like it as a welcome change of flavours but not my first choice in the plaza.
