I had the best tandoori chicken , chicken curry the freshness butter Naan bread white wine goes great with Indian Food it was a must. I had a huge take away because the servings are large enough for 2 to 3 people. My server who I didn’t get his name was absolutely pleasant made me feel welcomed. On my bill it said clerk 2….I felt bad I didn’t ask his name. I got to sit beside the water wall Table 23 as per my bill) and Indian goddess statue which was really relaxing enjoyable. if you have not gone here you must try it it’s a hidden gem I would never of known about it if it wasn’t for the staff at Natures Source I have been to this mall several times before have never noticed them at the end of the plaza. I’m glad it was pointed out to me as I look forward to going back. So look for Bombay Bhel go there, you won’t be disappointed. I think they are a Francise but it’s the Francise owner that controls the quality of the food and they have done well.
Normally, i 'm a big kebab fan usually, its an afghani style since they 're everywhere, but it has been some time since I 've had an indian kebab. I was kindly greeted by the friendly counter person and provided a menu. After a quick glance I knew I wanted the lamb kebab. I was told 15 minutes wait time, which meant to me that it was going to be super fresh! By the time I took it back to my office (5 minutes away), and sat to eat it, I found that the kebab was chopped into 'bite sized ' pieces. There was accompanying 'salad ' on the side (lettuce, pickled onion, carrot slivers, red cabbage and a tomato slice), the kebabs and a container of very thick, bright green chutney. It also came with a naan wrapped in foil. All in all, there was a good amount of food, but for the cost, I have received better at other places. So I tore the slightly soggy naan (was in foil, so what can you expect), and put a kebab piece into it, and dipped into the chutney. The kebab was overly dry. Dry to the point where if I took a bit of pressure to a piece, it could crumble. It was nicely spiced, but a poor eat over all. The salad it was just vegetables the tomato was clearly sitting for awhile as it had that 'powdery ' texture. I honestly did not finish the meal. At 15 dollars, and no one else waiting, this meal should have been freshly prepared, prepared properly, and using fresh ingredients throughout. It was a disappointment I have eaten at a Richmond hill Bombay Bhel years ago with better results, but I must say I likely will not go back or suggest this to anyone else.
This place was really good last time, that we decided to try again and we did take out. The butter chicken is one of the better ones we have had. The chicken tikka I always find a bit dry. Will probably try something new next time.
My family and I are very fond of Indian cuisine which we find quite delicious. However, we found that the preparation of the food and how it tasted varied between different locations of the same restaurant. Because the location of the Bombay Bhel which we had frequented for several years was temporarily closed, we decided to try this Bombay Bhel location. Granted, each location has a different chef and so, it is to be expected that the entrees at one location will taste somewhat different from the same dishes at another. Unfortunately, although the food looked delicious, it definitely was not as mouth-watering as at our usual Bombay Bhel; this included the samosas, the basmati rice, pakora, butter chicken, etc. However, the papadam was tastier.
This restaurant has previlegded and favoured customers that have ordered on phone and can jump the line to pay when picking up order and even boast that they are known to the owner for the last 20 years. The owners tolerate this kind of indian culture of previlege that they have brought back from Indian high society.
