Cosimo Susie's A Bit-italy - Mishawaka

This restaurant offers genuine Italian family cuisine in a charming, nostalgic setting. I visit about once a year because it takes me back to my childhood, and it always meets my expectations. There's a reason they've been around for so long! As for kid-friendliness, they provide books and small toys to keep the little ones entertained while waiting.

I went here after a long day of work with my girlfriend only to get stared at by the staff and when I was sat down I was directly misgendered by the server and when I corrected her she did not apologize and misgendered my girlfriend immediately after as well. I have not felt more instantly unwelcome somewhere like this in a long time. Do not come here if you are part of the queer community.

The owners, Cosimo and Susie, are great people that are very nice to their customers. They have take-out and you can dine in. Their food is authentic Italian, since Cosimo is from Italy, and it's also fresh from scratch. The dining area is a little bit small but i would say it's more cozy. Great place, totally recommend, not only for the food, but you might make a good friend with them
