El Tarasco Mexican - Minocqua

I've visited this restaurant frequently and have never been disappointed. My favorite dish is the Shrimp Quesadilla Regalia, paired with a Margarita on the rocks. It truly feels like my little piece of heaven!

The experience wasn't great overall, but the food was good. The only issue was that the ordering process took longer than I would have liked.

I met a friend for lunch one afternoon and really enjoyed our time together. I appreciated that we could chat without feeling rushed to finish our meal. The margaritas were fantastic! I sensed a hint of pineapple in the flavor, which was a delightful surprise! We would have liked to sit outside to soak up the last bits of summer, but since it was after 3 PM, we were told that wasn't possible. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

This is the worst food I have ever tasted. It doesn’t just fail to resemble authentic Mexican cuisine; it’s simply poor-quality food overall. Given that I'm in the north woods, I wasn't expecting much from the Mexican offerings, but this was truly unacceptable. We couldn’t even finish our meals because they were so unpalatable. On a positive note, the decor was nice.

The fajita burrito I ordered was phenomenally good. The fajita filling was well cooked but not overdone. The sides were small potions of Pico de gio, refried beans, Spanish rice, sour cream lettuce. Ordered a craft beer, not always an option at Mexican restaurants. Everyone else's food was very good. Good service and staff checked on us often. Very large menu and kids section, too.
