Jimmy's Kitchen And - Minnetonka

We went Sunday and had the two course prime rib special. It was excellent. Very good value for the money with excellent side dishes. My only comment that might we construed as negative is that (I believe) it was the butter that was extra salty. If you prefer your dishes less salted you might have a problem with the food overall. However it is definitely a restaurant that is on your must do list when we are in Minneapolis.

Steak was ordered med rare. Was served cremated. I told the server and she laughed. We had a bad steak experience last New Years at Jimmy’s. The owner promised to make it right. Never received anything from them. We like the restaurant. They have convinced us they can’t broil a steak! No table touches, no manager.

Make sure you review your bill closely. If you order liquor neat they will charge you 1.5x what the pour costs. When I brought it to the waitresses attention she tried argue and state it is normal to charge more if ordering your liquor without ice. I have never in my life encountered this anywhere else. The waitresses brought the amount down to what it shows on the menu but not without total attitude before and after she brought the check back.

Jimmy’s is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service are both 5 star . Thanks for another great evening!
