Ladies night out on the town, dinner before a show. We gambled and didn't make reservations anywhere. The first place we went to, we struck out... no walk-ins. We walked past this place and were lucky enough to get the last 2 spots at the bar. The bartender was entertaining to watch. He dressed our bartop ìn front of us with white linens and place settings. I saw the little blue bottle of Risata Moscato in the tiny fridge behind the counter and was sold. There is no need for a drink menu. I got the whole bottle, enough for 2 flutes worth. This place was fancy for my taste as the bartender refilled my flute for me while I was talking to my friend. Why thank you sir. And if I didn't say fancy yet, this place is expensive fancy. There is a 70 APPETIZER! So I ordered the most basic, cheapest thing on the menu, and it was a Ceasar salad. But I shouldn't have been surprised that it was the best, most delicious Ceasar salad I have ever had!! I looked at the people around us and they had bread baskets. Maybe they actually ordered entrees, and it was included but I wanted a basket of gluten. The bartender entered something on his computer pad and it showed up 5 mins later. My favorite was the rye bread. My friend ordered a drink called the Bohemian. I tasted it and it was too dry for me, but she loved it. She also ordered prosciutto wrapped mozzarella. She loved this as well. This is a popular place as there was standing room only when we left. Great place for intimate dining with low candlelight ambiance and white linens. I'd come again but if someone else picks up the bill.
Had the grilled salmon salad and it was delicious! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This restaurant is definitely my favorite. The clam chowder is so rich and creamy, and the NY strip steak is incredible. I also had the creamed corn with bacon for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The service here is top-notch, which really enhances the whole dining experience. I highly recommend trying the Capital Grille Cheesecake, Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake with Cocoa Powder and Fresh Raspberries, and the New England Clam Chowder. The average price per person for dinner is between $50-$100.
My husband received a very generous gift card for The Capital Grille so we used it for our anniversary dinner and splurged a bit! It is an incredibly fancy and upscale restaurant. We felt a little bit out of place when first arrived, but the service was excellent and the food was absolutely divine. We started with the cherrywood smoked bacon appetizer, which literally just melts in your mouth. We each ordered a New York strip and both were cooked to perfection. We got sides of asparagus and brussels sprouts. We definitely favored the brussels sprouts. It was overall a very nice experience, but it was very expensive and I don’t know that we would be willing to spend that much money on a dinner out again.
