It seems as if they really love their job. eating can never disappoint, and they are very generous with their toppings that are beautiful. overall, I would recommend this place again and again.
Chipotle-style layout and ordering format made the process simple, easy, and fast. Had the chicken kabob salad bowl topped with tomato cucumber pickled onions drizzled with roti green chili sauce. Very tasty and friendly staff.
I'm a person that is not eating a lot of Mediterranean food. I had a friend tell me what to eat instead he gave me an explanation of the place very similar to Chipotle for the ordering pattern. I had a pita with chicken Roti. It is their version of spicy MN spicy, hotter than mayonnaise milder than Grey Poupon. The young man working behind the counter was courteous and very helpful as to what to get for my order. Restaurant was clean and look like a fun place we sat and ate and talked for about an hour. I thoroughly enjoyed it and we'll go back again!
Good Mediterranean food. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Though they took long time to serve because of some unavailable/uncooked items.
I have been to this location twice. I've been downtown Minneapolis twice and each of those experiences downtown have been great, this location in Edina has been a different experience. I've been to Edina location, space once for lunch, and once for dinner. I'll review them each separately. Lunch, I was there the second week they were opened, I was with a group of 6. When we got there at 12:15 there were two people eating inside and no line at all. By the time we all ordered and had our food it was 12:40... It took a almost half hour for six of us to order and get our food. By the time the last person had their food the first person had been done eating for 10 minutes. Every one of us had to wait for something and our plates had hot and cold spots because of the amount of time it would take to get a missing item. We chalked it up to a new restaurant, with an experienced and not well trained staff.. decided we all come back in a couple weeks, and try it again. While we were there three other groups came in and all looked to have similar experiences. Dinner. Tonight, Friday night, got there at 6:15. Once again there was no line, there was a husband and wife checking out. We stepped up to order it was my daughter's first time there. I let the gentleman behind the counter know that and asked if he could explain the difference between the chicken roti and the chicken kabob. He did a great job of doing that as he was doing that he had asked that they make more falafel because they had just ran out. He grew frustrated with staff, confused .. left us to help staff ..was not prepared to take our order or talk to us. After letting him get organized for for 5 minutes he finally came back explain the difference between a rice plate and the salad plate.. we both decided we would have the chicken kabob rice plate. He then says we are completely out of the chicken kabob right now, let me get some more.. walks over to a warming oven then says sorry we don't have anymore but we can make it it'll take six or seven minutes. We tell him we be happy to wait he then wants to build our plates and we explain to him that we prefer to wait to build the plates when the chicken is done so then everything is warm.. we order some hummus and pita and after a confusing interaction with the entire staff we finally sit down and start enjoying our hummus. I had asked the person if they would notify us when the chicken kabob was ready they told us they would be happy to.. about 20 minutes pass I checked with the staff and they say yes the chicken kabob is ready, but now there is a line. Ask if we can just order our food as we've been waiting so long they said no you have to go back in line. So my daughter sits at the table I get back in line and about 10 more minutes pass and it's finally time for us to order. We order our rice plates put them together the way we want and go to pay.. they do kompisar pita bread and hummus but no apologies for anything else. My chicken kabob plate was great, my daughter had the falafel rice plate, the falafel was very dry, cost of being burned on the exterior. The hummus was fantastic.. the green and red s hug sauces are so good, the rice and couscous were delicious. Staff is still woefully under-trained, the management was not present, or if they were they too are under trained. As we were there not only were they out of the chicken kabob but they ran out of chicken roti they had no salmon and by the time my daughter or the falafel they were then out of falafel as well. They don't seem to reorder any of their proteins until they are completely out forcing people to wait 7 to 10 minutes. As we watch the Lines move it was clear that most others were experiencing the same that we were very slow and confused service, not having items prepared on the line and generally disorganized. if you compare that with downtown Minneapolis it's night and day. I'd probably stay away and let them get the shop in order and try it again in a few months.
