Revival Mpls - Minneapolis

Great local place for breakfast and lunch. I had the one piece and slaw. The chicken is top notch. The non spice chicken has great flavor and is not greasy. The mustard slaw adds a unique flavor to the cole slaw. Had great service. The prices are inexpensive for what you get, especially in this area. And they have Mexican coke!

I was told to try this restaurant. I found it to be good. The service we received was top notch. I got the sense our waitress was invested in this restaurant. She took the time to explain the offerings and our options. The food was good. We had the recommended fried chicken. In addition, the greens with pork shoulder, and their Mac and cheese. All good meals. I will go back.

Everybody talks about how amazing the chicken is, but the majority of things that you get into having the chicken all covered up. Got the chicken, biscuits and gravy, and the gravy was just too heavy for the chicken. Ended up scraping it off, and the chicken was good, but nothing to write home about. Don't get me wrong everything was fine, but no reason to ever really go back.

Of course we always get the whole fried chicken. Great leftovers for a bit. And dinner is never done unless it is finished with a banana cream pie.

Excellent service. Fun, cozy, neighborhood atmosphere, in what appears to be a renovated house. Food is Meh. The brisket is brisket. Tennessee Hot version of the fried chicken is bland and underwhelming. I am willing to admit that I don't know Southern food, but where's the flavor?
