Cocina Latina - Minneapolis

Had high hopes with the reviews, but was beyond let down. Ordered steak tacos and I’ve had better in the middle of Indiana. The steak was so beyond dry it had no flavor left. The burrito was mostly just rice. Chips with the salsa were borderline stale. The only good thing was my child’s mozzarella sticks which says a lot. Save your time and money and go next door for boludo.

Beautiful place, great service. Love that they open the windows and have outdoor seating. Had the chimichanga great flavor but wish it was at least a little crispy. Drinks are fun and flavorful. Not sure what they serve in the jumbo mugs (pictured) but that looks like a very intoxicated celebration lol. The cotton candy drink also had edible glitter so fancy ?

Bold and quintessential empanada flavors. The Humita had a nice kick of spice with special thanks to the flavorful and sassy serrano peppers with juuuuust the right balance of fontina it was my fav of the bunch. The pollo was good not quite as notable. The carne was decent.Of course the churro donuts were a perfect finish to the meal. Get em while they're ?!Unfortunately, our service was subpar (and considering it's counter service, that's saying something ? . Maybe they were just crabby that they were working late on a holiday. I'd go back its worth another try.
