Safehouse - Milwaukee

Haven’t been to the Safe House in years but decided to take my kids 6 and 8 years old. Overall they loved the experience with secret doors, scavenger hunt, and a magician who went above and beyond to entertain them. My son asked when we could come back again. Lots of fun! In regards to the food it was ok. The portions felt small for the cost, but food isn’t the number 1 reason for going. The biggest disappointment this time around was that the kids were suppose to get light up drink cups and my wife ordered a special drink (Sterling Archer) for the main reason to get the included souvenir glass. When we got our drinks they were all in normal glasses. We waited to bring up but after we did, the server said they were out due to supply chain issues. She ended up taking some cost off the bill but we were disappointed she or the menu didn’t state this before ordering. It made me wonder if I didn’t bring up at the end if we would have been charged full price.

Food was very average for the price. Extra entertainment, and other fees were added on top of the already high food price. Service was very lackluster for an event venue.

Our host was really great. It was a fun stop in Milwaukee. A bit of chaos with lots of people and childrens birthday parties going on. The seating areas are unique.

There were several problems. they were not terribly busy. it took 20 minutes to get our drinks after we had ordered them, the waitress said they had problems with the cash that was secured. She didn't check us back then. one of the sides that should come to our meal came long before our meal. we said there were also problems in the kitchen. they could not take several cards for our bill. that was the second bad experience we had in the safe house. we don't want to go back.

We had a great time. we really found all secret passages. the trained magician (serena) was entertaining and helped with the hunt on the hunter. also eating was good.
