After reading some of the reviews, I was anxious to try this place out. i'm a huge Pho fan and have tried just about everyplace in the city. The Pho here wasn't too outstanding. I just couldn't taste the depth like I can with other Phos. I thought it didn't live up to some of the rave reviews. The service was excellent. The waitress was really hustling. The need to put the common condiments right on the table. I had to ask for fish sauce and got a little container. Any other Vietnamese restaurant in the city will have this on the table. Chopsticks were an option instead of the rule. This too is unlike any other Vietnamese restaurant I visit. It wasn't terrible, but just didn't live up to the hype I was expecting.
There was only one server for a packed restaurant who was also acting as bartender and she was such an absolute superstar that I just want to commend her, as I would have lost my mind completely. Our table tried a ton of things (banh mi, noodle bowl, fried rice, pho, summer rolls) and everything was great, fresh and bright tasting. Really dug the lemongrass beef. Decent beer list. Would go back if I lived here. Knocking one star off atmosphere because it was pretty cramped in there.
Some of the best pho in the city, and the crab rangoon is fantastic. Also a big fan of the chicken curry and any variation of the fried rice. Everyone who works there is pretty awesome as well. Their pho is my go to whenever I have a cold and I swear the stuff is magic.
All foods served fresh and hot, which is very good, I love it!
