Great Lakes Distillery - Milwaukee

This tour was an absolutely incredible experience! Kaelyn was our tour guide and she was knowledgeable, funny, and very entertaining! The actual tour is very simple and not a lot of walking. The secret to their great tour tasting is all wrapped up in the delivery from the amazing Kaelyn! Her information, experience, interaction with the group and the tasting portion all made for a terrific time. I would highly recommend adding this to your list of must-do’s in Milwaukee! Cheers!

Overall it was a great experience. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and funny. He really made the experience the best it could be. Only reason why I’m not giving 5 stars is because one of the bar tenders was a little disrespectful to my husband and I. We were trying to figure out which drink to order neither of us had ever had whiskey or bourbon so we just needed a little help deciding. She ends up obviously getting annoyed with us and says “have you ever even been to a bar before”. That comment definitely took us off guard as we have never been spoken to in that manner. We always try and be good guests so it was a little shocking. Definitely was just a sour start to our experience but the tour guide definitely made up for it!

This a really great space within walking distance of tons of food options and some breweries(what a surprise in MKE ?)Overall the service was great. The cocktail recommendations were on point on the menu and the booze was crafted.I had a gin and grapefruit side that was refreshing and well prepared. I also had the Old Rations cocktail that was excellent once the ice melted a bit and calmed down the hotness of the drink.I strongly recommend a stop by sometime!

Awesome visit and some great cocktails! Very knowledgeable tour guide too! Next time we're in Milwaukee, we'll definitely be back.
