Five O'clock Steakhouse - Milwaukee

This was not our first time eating at Five O'Clock and as always, the food did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection. My only complaint was feeling extremely rushed. We had an 8p reservation and arrived early to find a seat at the bar and enjoy a drink. We were waiting for 2 of our friends to join us as well. Our waitress came by the bar when the whole party arrived and handed us menus and took our order before we even sat down. It was awkward and rushed. It happened to another party sitting at the bar, so I recognized it wasn't just our server. When we sat down our salads were already on the table, and within minutes our appetizers arrived. We didn't have time to enjoy what was in front of us before the next course was served. It was late enough in the evening that the table was not being turned over so we were not holding anyone up. For the cost of the meal, and the experience that is supposed to go along with dinner at Five O'Clock, I would have expected a little more.

Our servers were super friendly and prompt. Yet gave us time when we had not made a decision for our order. Drinks were fabulous and steak was like butter. Done exactly as ordered. Will return and highly recommend!

Enjoyed our dinner!! Steaks were very tender and tasty!! Loved the mushrooms!! Blue cheese dressing on the salad was very good. Baked potato was large enough to share. Bread and relish tray were also good. Service was awesome!! Gentleman at the front check in desk was very nice friendly. Waitress was also very nice. Liked that they had security and valet. Not being from the area, drive between the highway and restaurant was through a scary neighborhood but the waitress told us a better way to get back to our hotel which was a much more comfortable route!! If you like your meat well done you may not like their steaks. We did medium well (prefer well) and they were a little red for us. I cut mine as soon at it arrived and it seemed to get a little more done sitting in the juices. The flavor made up for my apprehension on the doneness!!

We have a birthday celebration. W e for sat next to the bathroom and it was most horrible table. It didn't spell good. Too many people standing in front us . We eventually had to complain. We then got moved to a worse table.

It was very old-school Wisconsin supper club vibe with a relish tray, salad, warm bread. Then tasty steaks (I had the porterhouse) with asparagus and mashed potatoes sides to share. We even saved room for dessert—cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake, and I had cherries jubilee. I rated the food less than 5 stars only because my steak was slightly overcooked although still super delicious and tender. Also, the cherries jubilee was underwhelming and not prepared properly but, also, still tasty.
