Dandan - Milwaukee

Ordered carryout but missed one item. Food was OK. Overall bad experience.

My wife and I were excited to try Dandan when passing through Milwaukee. Everything, drinks and food, was delicious. My personal favorite was the seasonal broccoli, and my wife voted for the sesame chicken bao as her favorite, but everything was phenomenal! We had a great experience and would love to go back.

I am highly unsatisfied with both the service and the food I received this evening. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this experience was particularly disappointing. I placed a curbside order 10 minutes after the restaurant opened, expecting my favorite dish, orange chicken, with an extra side of rice. What should have been a simple order turned into a frustrating ordeal. Despite being given a 30-minute wait time, I ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes. When I finally got my food, it was poorly prepared. Instead of the usual separate packaging for the chicken and sauce, everything was carelessly tossed together in the to-go box. As a result, the chicken became dry and flavorless during the car ride, likely because the sauce wasn't in a separate container as it usually is. To make matters worse, I bit into a piece of chicken that seemed undercooked. This level of carelessness is unacceptable. Additionally, the staff seemed frustrated and were not very pleasant, which only added to the negative experience. I have been a regular customer, but I have noticed a decline in both food quality and service over my past few visits. This experience was the last straw. I am highly unsatisfied and will think twice before returning.

We shared short ribs potstickers and scallion pancakes for starters and dandan noodles and Mongolian beef for entrée. We both missed lunch and this was enough food to fill us back up. Service and atmosphere are fine. You CAN park in the lot with all the reserved signs next door after 5pm

The food was too salty and had too much sauce. The portions in the fillings for the dumplings were small. The meat portions were also small, especially for the Mongolian beef. The only good thing was the cauliflower general tso. Definitely not worth the money.
