Fenny Fish - Milton Keynes

I paid £8.20 for a small portion of cod and chips and was shocked by the high price. It seems that the post-Brexit fishing prices have not resulted in lower costs for the consumer. The fish appeared to be leftover from lunchtime, both in appearance and texture. It is likely that it was. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

I have been disappointed by fish and chips in the past, but my experience at Fenny Fish Bar yesterday was a pleasant surprise. The cod was fresh and flavorful, with a light and crispy batter. I will definitely be returning, and I also found their online ordering system to be convenient.

Compared to another review, it took me 5 minutes to walk from the Fish Bar to this restaurant and another 4-5 minutes to receive my food. I didn't warm up my plates, but the fish and chips were wrapped up in 4 layers and still warm when served. I requested a large cod but was informed I would have to wait for it to be cooked, so I settled for a regular sized cod that was already prepared. It wasn't too dry. The restaurant has COVID measures in place. Overall, it was a tasty meal.

If you’ve not been here before, you are in for a treat! This is one of the best chippy dinners I’ve had in a long time. The food was fresh and tasty.... what more to say? Visit, you won’t regret it!
