Abi Ruchi - Milton Keynes

The only OK thing about our visit was the reasonable starters. The food took ages to come. The dosa were really thick. The masala (potato stuffing) was very clearly gone off- it smelt bad even before I tasted it. The smabhar was tasteless. The server refused to agree it was gone off. When I said it was, he asked where I am from, suggesting that as I'm not South Indian I don't know what the food should taste like. I've eaten at countless South Indian places and spent a lot of time in Kerala, I didn't buy that. This place used to be good. It's not any more.

The food is consistently delicious here, I highly recommend trying the aubergine fry starter. The thalis and dosas are always excellent. This restaurant surpasses even Rasa in my opinion. It offers great value for money too. The toilets are clean, so don't let older reviews deter you.

The service at this restaurant is top-notch - professional and courteous. The food is excellent and the prices are fair.

The food lacked flavor and took 35 minutes to arrive after ordering. The service was rude and unprofessional, and when we requested to speak with the manager, we were met with laughter. The only positive aspect was that the restaurant serves Halal food.

I agree with last review they need to completely refurbish and clean the toilet it does put you off going again. Also the wine list need changing as the rose is really bad also house white not much better. I think they should change suppliers and reinvent the wine list completely. The food was ok nice flavours but vegetable pilar rice was just frozen veg put in rice could have been more creative also spinach was still frozen and bland when I got it. I might give it another go but only if the standard of cleanses is improved and they change there wine so I suppose that means I won't .
