Food size, regular size, got a bucket, and they said why are we saying we changed our mind reaching the window. When saying they'd misunderstood, they tell you, they didn't. So we started recording drive thru orders on phone, in case they would give something we never said. Weirdly, walk in, they can match your order. The BUT part; there are changes, past 3 times (since the recording started) they were able to fulfill orders as asked in drive thru. Never had to play the recording to prove them wrong.
I went there for the first time in 2 years and I could not believe what I experienced. The chicken was not only NOT what I remember as KFC , it was pieces I couldn't even identify , dry and disgusting. I took it back and what they gave me after complaining wasn't much better. NEVER AGAIN
The chicken thigh was cut into halves and counted as two pieces. I wonder who's running the management. They scam customer now. Gravy tasted too salty on some occasions, that means they are not following company standards. Felt bad as I liked the before. Place is dirty too.
.I was there 2 weeks ago and got a bucket of chicken so I thought. I got 1 breast and the wings where cut in 2. What has happened to the chicken they are so small you would need 2 buckets to feed a family will not go back . Sharon
For Mothers Day this year, my wife oddly requested to have Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner. Seeing that our family rarely eats the greasy delectable delight and could probably count on one hand the amount of times we have actually eaten KFC in the last five years, I was more than happy to oblige. As a child, I have fond memories of eating the colonels secret recipe of herbs and spices at family parties or picnics. It wasn 't an event until that iconic red and white bucket showed up. With that in mind, I made the short drive to the only Milton KFC which also happens to double as a Taco Bell. The fast food restaurant is located just off the highway on Steeles and Martin Street in an area of Milton that can be best described as non descript. It 's not really residential or commercial. It 's really just on a strip that has a mix of low industrial buildings and some retail store fronts selling tires or flooring. Not much else around so the restaurant is really servicing that highway patron who is merely passing through or the customer looking to grab a quick and cheap and inexpensive meal who might work or live in the surrounding area. The restaurant has undergone some renovations in recent years to streamline and update the dining and service area. During my visit, ironically enough, they had a Mothers Day Feast which included a 14 piece bucket, two large sides, an xlarge fries, a container of gravy and a McCain deep and delicious cake all for $39.99 (roughly $43 after taxes . Upon getting our food home my first observation was how much the food has changed. This is not the same Kentucky Fried Chicken that I fondly remember from my youth. Everything has changed from the name (KFC? to the quality of the food itself! The coleslaw is no longer that neon green, vinegary slop that complimented the greasy chicken so well. The containers are much smaller now as well. You used to get a tub of gravy and the gravy was this thick, brown almost paper mache glue like consistency that would gelatinize as it got cold. Not any more! We got a small container of runny, watery tasteless gravy that clearly was not made out of the chicken fat like the gravies of yesteryear. Most disappointing was the fact that the chicken isn 't anywhere close to what it used to be? Don 't know if they changed the secret recipe in recent years but it just doesn 't taste the same. The chicken itself is much smaller as well and I wasn 't aware that you had to specifically ask for more white meat other wise they fill your bucket with the throw away, undersized, derelict pieces that seem to be made from a pigeon instead of an actual chicken. Not sure if we just caught the staff on a bad day, but our pieces were definitely overcooked, dry and really dark brown and nowhere near the golden, crispy juicy chicken they seem to showcase in all their commercials. My fault for actually choosing to eat at KFC I guess so I have no one to really blame other than myself. Not many alternatives in the Milton area if you have a hankering for similarly prepared chicken. Not crazy about Popeyes and even though Swiss Chalet has the occasional promotion where they serve “crispy” chicken on their menu, you simply are not going to go to Swiss Chalet to get “Fried chicken”. I’ve heard Jollibee has excellent chicken and is worth the drive up the highway into Mississauga if you are willing to stand in line for a while, but KFC simply isn’t cutting it anymore and I don’t see myself returning any time soon.
