China One - Milltown

After relocating here three years ago from New York (Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island), where I enjoyed some of the best Chinese cuisine, I struggled to find a good takeout option until last night! We've explored countless places in the East Bay without realizing that China One was closer than many. It was late—around 8:30 PM—and most restaurants were already closed, but China One was open until 10 PM, which caught us off guard, especially given the COVID situation. Hungry and in need of food, we decided to give it a shot. We ordered three dishes, and from now on, this will be our go-to for Chinese food! The dishes were incredibly fresh, flavorful, not greasy or watery, and the portions were generous. Thank you, China One!

I absolutely love the food here! I've been a regular for years and consider it the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I even brought some General Tso's chicken and fried rice for my former boss, who is Taiwanese, and he really enjoyed it. When a Chinese person appreciates their cuisine, you know it's good!

The food is amazing and the portions are very generous! You've been my favorite restaurant for years. The wait for the bill usually takes about 15-20 minutes, so it's wise to call ahead. It's definitely worth the wait!

I've been dining here for over 10 years. It's not fancy Chinese food, but it's decent. It's a great spot for takeout. The service is good, and the staff are very kind. I've always had pleasant interactions—perhaps it's all in how you treat them!
