The food was really good, including the broasted chicken and strawberry rhubarb pie. Service was abysmal as our table was ignored for over 45 minutes.
First time to this restaurant. It was on a Saturday so we had to wait for 20 minutes but keep busy in the bakery area. The service and food were worth the wait. Great home-made soups and broast chicken. Had to take some home even with the small (seniors) portion. Amazing dessert and baked on premises.Friendly staff and always smiling. Amish hospitality. Will be a regular customer in the future.
We have been here few times in the past, and were excited to visit again. Came on Saturday at around 4:30, wait was not too long, however, the waiting area layout is so poor, that I literally got yelled at by waitress to get out of the way.Got seated, waitress was absolutely inexperienced and had no clue of portion sizes or sauces they had for my daughters chicken fingers.I ordered pork ribs, full size meal and received 3 bones of meat. Meat was tough, chewy and disappointing. I ended up ordering extra portion just to get full. My son ordered bacon cheeseburger, it arrived without bacon, a slice and a bit arrived after we informed another waiter. Chicken fingers and fries were from Costco, seems that the days of homemade food is over. Everything seemed too busy, rushed and that quality that we experienced few years back, is long gone.We ended up buying few baked goods, including raspberry cheesecake and it should be called cool whip cake. After reading the ingredients we now know that its just a conveyer belt bakery.Having driven for over an hour, it was a total disappointment.
Always a great day trip. Food is awesome. Chicken, mashed potatoes, cheese buns-all delicious BUT the best part is the PIE!! I always get a different flavour and they are all yummy. Peach, raspberry, apple so good BUT you just try the French Rhubard of you're a rhubarb fan!! Love it!
