The gluten-free bread didn't taste good, which is surprising given that they are supposed to be the go-to place for gluten-free options (I'm not gluten-free myself). I've had excellent gluten-free bread elsewhere, but this was not it. The toppings on the toast were quite basic: sliced radishes, avocado, cucumber, a few pieces of marinated bell pepper, and some sprouts. The so-called cashew cream didn't add much to the dish either; it really needed a drizzle of seasoned olive oil and some quality sea salt to enhance the flavors. The toast was served with a fresh spring salad that had a hearty dressing, but overall, I won't be returning to this very trendy spot again. This is an update to my previous review from August 18, 2021.
I've been a loyal customer for years and absolutely love the food here. However, I really wish they would address the burnt taste of the espresso. I've only had a handful of occasions where the espresso was not burnt. Despite this, I'm still giving it 5 stars because I truly enjoy this place. Just please, please fix the espresso!
What a lovely spot in a beautiful setting! On sunny days, the atmosphere feels even more joyful.
Gluten-free heaven! I've only been to the Mill Valley location so far, but I hear the San Anselmo spot is also entirely gluten-free. There's a fantastic selection of dishes, along with weekly specials to keep things exciting. They tend to be quite busy, often with long lines, and since I don’t live nearby, I usually order a lot. However, they pack everything in a taped box, which makes it hard to check the contents. Unfortunately, I've discovered that a couple of items I paid for were missing after I got home, which can be frustrating. Each time I've reached out to them, they have credited my account, but I would much rather have the items I ordered without having to go through the extra hassle. Next time, I’ll make sure to check my order before rushing home. I genuinely enjoy the food here, and my family loves that they offer tasty vegan options. I really wish they would open a location in the East Bay!
Flour Craft is a delight! Everything is gluten free and it is just a given, no big deal. I love that. We tried the chocolate chip banana bread, the raspberry almond scone and the blueberry lemon scone. All were moist, delicious and not overly sweet. Perfect. The large latte coffee actually has 4 shots, not just lots of milk. The green tea was wonderful. The staff were warm and professional. We sat outside in the sunshine to enjoy our treat. Our new favorite spot!
