There was hope that there was good food in Bothell as long as I'm ready to go out and look for him.
The best smoked salmon....but... I love Larry's packed smoked salmon, the best I've ever had, its damp and has exactly the right spice, not too salty or dry as some I had when that's what Larry is known for it....but.... I was just not crazy about some of the secondary dishes that were served. Like the baked beans they tasted more like something from a can rather than homemade and made at home soooo is easy and cheap to make and not mention the taste. I didn't think the lawsuit was so great, I had much better. I like my mother-in-law, the creamier and sweeter. I must admit, the barbacue sauce was not the biggest and if it was better, it would certainly do the pig well, not only taste like another mill baracued pork.... poor pig!! I also thought that the salmon was warm too dry, I like it more on the rare side or simply done to ensure its moisture like the packaged salmon. I feel the secret of the good salmon is not a cooked salmon. When it is cooked over, it becomes too dry and boring, not for very well eaten in my boat. I love salmon, but it won't even eat when it's dry unless it's in a dish of some varieties. I guess the smoked salmon is warmed to serve what makes it more done, where I prefer it more on the room temperature or even cold side just to avoid it drying out of the heating. Really friendly guy that Larry, loved him, just a few good recipes for your side dishes and cooking techniques and the right chefs who want to make a difference, and you will come for more that I am sure you are already doing with your smoked salmon.
