My grandma and grandpa brought me here and helped me with this review I like all sorts of restaurants and I've been eating things that you guys my think are gross, but I really like things like sushi and oysters and other kinds of stuff. All the stuff that I have eaten here (Fare You Well) is the best to me. So well so the fish taco was amazing it had a ton of fish in there was tomatoes and some green stuff (cilantro) and some sauce. Yum. The other sandwich (Bahn Mi) was the BOMB. You should go there. It's really good. Peace out Aiden
Ok, I consider myself a kind of midwestern foodie. I've traveled the world and this great Nation looking for awesome places to eat. I particularly love a well done food truck. The team from Fare You Well has knocked it out of the park and I can be pretty particular when it come to my food. Staff was friendly and pretty cool. The three of them busted ass to produce very good and fresh food . . . very quickly I might add . . . for the line of people here this spring day. It was almost Jimmy John's quick, but gourmet food. Let that sink in for a few moments. Here's what my bride and I tried Duck Poutine Fresh cut fries, nice fresh white cheese curds and nice duck gravy that wasn't too heavy or too rich. Just right Pork Street Tacos Very simple Taco with what seemed to be a fresh grilled flour tortilla. Light cilantro, onion, and homemade salsa that let the soft pork flavors shine. Very good Twisted Ta Cone Corn tortilla shell shaped like a ice cream cone. Cool. Filled with taco meat, rice, and beans. All well balanced with cheese and homemade salsa on top. Yum (how do you say that in Spanish? MMmmm? Whiskey Glazed Juicy Lucy Slider Toasted mini bun, beef hamburger glazed with . . . Wait for it. . . Whiskey! Mmmmm. To be fair, I'm a medium rare guy. This was medium well done but was flavorful with a nice grill char and caramelization. Tasty little burger While everything was AMAZING, the star of the show had to be our final selection . . . Drumroll please . . . Dulce Cubano Slider Any one that has ever had a real Cubano understands that this is a sandwich that can actually make a grown man cry. This little Slider almost made me cry. It was perfect. Tender roasted pork, ham, pickle, and mustard. Ahhhh. They did something unique and added a touch of cherry BBQ. It was amazing I can't vouch for prices as today was free will offering. I dropped in quite a bit of money for this fine meal. Servings were small. Think tapas. Not sure if they will stay with this format, but I like it . . . Keep the price points reasonable and it allows you to try several things and not get too full. Can also make some nice profits that way. What a nice addition to the Okoboji food scene. We have needed something like this for a long while. I hope people support it. They will be in parking lot of WestO on Fri and Sat nights. What a great combination of good food and the best beer in the Midwest! I hear rumors they may occasionally be seen at Rolling Oaks Barn (another establishment I HIGHLY recommend you check out . . . Kind of a midwestern version of an Irish pub. . . Very chill and cozy Good luck Fare You Well. I have a feeling I, and the rest of the people of the Lakes area will be getting to know you very well
